DIRECTOR OF NURSING-Outpatient Surgery Center
The Director of Nursing assumes 24-hour accountability for the management and direction of the human and material resources necessary to provide quality patient care and service. The Director supervises multi-position employees to contribute to the overall goals of the department. The Director must be able to develop and operationalize their communicated direction and the objectives of the immediate supervisor. Utilizing best practice, can set the priorities for his/her department as deemed appropriate by the Associate Vice President or Vice President of Surgery/Ambulatory Services.
Work Schedule: 80 hours biweekly; Monday- Friday
MINIMAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must have applicable knowledge of Perioperative Care and Practice. Candidate must be able to implement best practice as evidenced by the Association of Operating Room Nurses and/or American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses Standards.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be a registered nurse in the state of SC with Bachelors of Science in Nursing or letter of enrollment in a BSN program with anticipated graduation date.
SPECIALIZATION/CERTIFICATION: CNOR and/or certification in Perioperative Nursing Practice
At least 5 years of total related Perioperative patient careexperiencerequired with a minimum of 3 years in management experience.
