About the Role:

The Vice President is responsible for 1-3  Managers in meeting their deliverables to Citco’s Multi-Asset Fund clients, which primarily includes the accounting, financialreporting and monthly net asset valuation of fund portfolios, as well as overseeing and coordinating strategic and operational initiatives with internal and external parties,  and other Citco Offices. The Vice President oversees operations of team of 15-25 individuals and reports into a Senior Vice President within the Fund Accounting team of the Multi-Asset Services Group. The Group’s  clients include investment managers of hedge funds, fund-of-hedge funds, endowments, family offices and private wealth organization, and  institutional investors within such Alternative Investment institutions.

 

Job Duties in Brief:

  • Oversight of a team of Managers and fund accountants responsible for preparing periodic (daily/weekly/monthly) valuationreporting for a portfolio of funds, including the determination of "Net Asset Value and preparation of supporting financial statements.
  • Monitor adherence to client service levels and quality and performance standards
  • Review funds setups and operating documentation to ensure compliance with audit procedures and standard agreements

  • Liaise as relationship manager with clients to facilitate:

    • Issue escalations and resolution

    • Adoption of new technology and process rollouts

    • Implementation of strategic and operational initiatives

    • Secure new business and cross-sell our products and services

  • In partnership with the Senior Vice President and Executive Management team, facilitate presentations to existing and prospective clients

  • Coordinate due diligence meetings and client driven ad hoc initiatives and projects with investors, banks, brokers, auditors and other fund participants

  • Participating in and lead projects that may be defined from time to time in connection with the continuing expansion and evolution of the business, including new client on-boarding

  • Continuously review, and remove non-standard and inefficient processes
  • Ensure team alignment and adherence to risk mitigation strategies and protocols

  • Responsible for active and regular people and performance Management by providing ongoing training, support and one-on-one coaching to ensure team/individual goals and objectives are met
  • Facilitate and drive employee engagement, motivation and development to maintain high quality work that proactively exceeds clients expectations

 

About You:

  • University degree in accounting, finance, economics; Professional accounting designation preferred (CGA, CMA, CA, CPA, CFA)

  • Experience in financial services industry and an understanding of investment strategies and financials products, particularly around hedge funds and/or investment companies

  • Minimum of 6-7years in hedge fund accounting, at least three of those years spent at a Manager level

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Extensive Supervisory, Managerial and Client Service experience

  • Demonstrated financialreporting / analytical / organizational skills

  • Applies strong business knowledge and technical expertise to develop and recommend solutions to complex problems

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, technical strength to navigate multiple systems and automated workflows

  • Proven ability to work in a challenging, professional and deadline driven work environment and a track record in successfully managing teams
