Sonoco is currently seeking an HRIS Workday Expert to join our team as an HRIS Analyst/Specialist that will directly impact the value and effectiveness of our HRIS system.
The HRIS Analyst/Specialist is an integral member of the Human Resources Information System team. The primary focus of this position is to support the implementation and on-going administration, maintenance, and management of Sonoco’s HRIS (Workday) in addition to otherHR related systems.
This individual serves as a subject matter expert and technical point-of-contact for Workday to ensure data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst/Specialist will support Workday upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned. As well as, create, generate, and maintain effective HRreporting, including turnover, headcount, recruiting, organization charts, and other key metrics to drive organizational effectiveness.
Requires strong Workday business knowledge in HR processes and policies, including but not limited to:
Benefits, Compensation, Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition and reporting to various government agencies such as EEO and Vets4212reports.
Provides consulting services to HR Centers of Excellence applying Workdaytechnology to meet business requirements as well as integrations with Workday (i.e. Ariba, Chrome River, Oracle, etc.)
- 7+ years of experience with HCM systems
- 3+ years of experience with project management
- 2+ years of experience with Workday HCM
- Advanced knowledge of reporting tools is required
- B.A. or B.S. degree
- Experience working in a global organization is highly desired

This is a progression position and could be a level I, II or III. Compensation and progression level will be based on candidate’s experience and education, and current business needs.
