The Area Sales Director is responsible for building/managing/motivating a high performance sales team, achieving the region’s annual revenue target, providing accurate business forecasts, professionally representing the company in the market and maintaining a high level of satisfaction with customers and partners.
The Area Sales Director will be managing a team of (6-8) Regional Sales Managers. The client is looking for an exceptional person with (5+) years of proven strong Sales & Leadership skills in the Software space!
- Achieve the region’s revenue and otherfinancial metrics.
- Build a High Performance Sales Team by recruiting, motivating, mentoring a group of high achievers.
- Coach each member of the team to achieve their full potential.
- Professionally introduce and represent the company to prospects, customers and partners.
- Provide timely and accurate forecasts of bookings and revenue.
- Maintain every customer as a reference account
- Establish company’s brand as an emerging market leader within the region.
- Prospect, qualify and help close sales opportunities to enterprise-level companies and service providers.
- Provide regular and meaningful insights to Senior Management and Marketing on market trends, product requirements and competition.
- Be a good team person. Support your peers and subordinates in developing a culture that likes to win, have fun and values mutual success.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or Equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of building, leading and motivating a High Performance Sales Team.
- Demonstrate a track record of personally closing new enterprise accounts or Service Providers and consistently achieving quota.
- 5 – 10 years of experience selling Enterprise software or Solutions to the Enterprise or Service Providers
- 5+ years of sales management experience
- 5+ years of managing experience in the Software space, preferably in the E-mail/Messaging, IT Security or Storage solutions
- Ability to present and communicate with all levels of the customer – Technical, Financial & Executive.
- Comfortable using CRM and Strategic Selling Methodologies.
- Understands the basics of Financial Reporting and Management as well as the fundamental of Business Management
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and presentation skills.
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment.
- Balances great ambition and drive with a high level of integrity and honesty
- Fun to be around!
- Experience selling SAAS is a plus
Base Salary: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 (DOE)
On-Target-Earnings: $300,000.00 - $350,000.00 (NO Cap) + Full Expenses + Great Benefits + Upward Mobility
