Cancer Center Administrative Director
Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, with ten (10) years in oncologic practice management, financial management, and/or relevant business experience to include seven (7) years of supervisory experience.
The purpose of this position is to serve as the Cancer Center Administrative Director. This position reports to the Director of the Cancer Center and assists with all facets of Cancer Center operations. Manages all administrative affairs of the Cancer Center including oversight and direction for financial matters including budgeting and billing, grants and contracts, personnel management, academic affairs, patient care and research operations, facilities development and management, business development, promotion and human resource activities.
Provides leadership across the Cancer Center organization, including alignment of Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Hematology/Oncology, other relevant oncologic subspecialties, and all ancillary functions in support of the Cancer Center. Functions independently in decision making and execution of all responsibilities, under the supervision of and in close partnership with the Cancer Center Director and UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine (LSOM) Leadership – Vice Dean for Finance.
