This position requires a minimum of a BSN in nursing as well as a Master’s degree in a related field of leadership, preferably a MSN. Must have Nursing Leadership experience. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or willing to become licensed in Florida before beginning the position.

This Director position will be responsible for the clinical operations of the Lee Health’s Staffing Resources Center (SRC).

The Staffing Resource Center is Lee Health’s in-house PRN staffing division for all of acute care. The Center works with the Lee Health departments to provide additional nursing staff on an “as needed” basis. In addition to this daily staffing assistance, the SRC also offers 13-week direct placement contracts and a valuable in-house travel nurse program. This not only assures quality patient care, it also allows center staff to design a flexible work schedule and choose the campus or service area where they prefer to work.

The Director will be responsible for interviewing potential staff for the SRC. Will also be involved in any needed coaching and/or development plans of SRC staff. Actively participates in organizational leadership functions and collaborations with other organizational. Allocates available resources to promote safe, efficient, effective and compassionate nursing care, provide input into executive level decisions and keep staff informed of executive level activities. Provides direction to patient care staff to promote quality patient care, nursing services and a culture of safety on a continuous basis. Responsible for ensuring consistent nursing standards guide the provision of nursing care. Serves on the Nursing Leadership Council to provide clinical perspectives to issues, as well as, serves as a staff, patient and family advocate.
