The ICBM System Program Office must prepare a sustainment and acquisition concept to ensure a safe, secure and reliable MM III weapon system as required by the war fighter (Air Force Global Strike Command) through 2030. This activity replaces the current ICBM Prime Integration Contract (IPIC) and is identified as the Future ICBM Sustainment and Acquisition Construct (FISAC). The Integration Support Contract (ISC) will not only assist in acquisition and technical sustainment engineering, but also help train and develop this capability in the government. This contract will augment organic resources by providing breadth and depth of capabilities for system engineering and integration, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program management, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, mission effectiveness, and ICBM Demonstration / Validation (Dem/Val) Integrated Applications Programs.
Position will be located at or near Hill AFB, Utah.
The individual will support the Reentry Vehicle (RV) Integration Branch of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Program acquisition development. GBSD is a replacement for the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system, including the ground, flight, and command & control elements.
The position will assist in conducting analytics, system specification development, system architecture, test & evaluation, Model Based Systems Engineering, integration, configuration management, nuclear surety, reliability, availability & maintainability, and other specialty functions.
The individual will work closely with the Air Force lead engineer, and other government team members, to ensure coordinated and effective RV integration in support of the GBSD program.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education:
Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years' relevant/related experience (6+ years' with a Master's degree).
Candidate must have strong leadership skills and proven record of managing large teams/programs, with special emphasis on meeting technical challenges. Applicant should be comfortable working under stressful, and/or aggressive schedules, and able to implement strategic customer guidance with little day-to-day direction.
Preferred Skills and Education:
Experience in managing the design and analysis of new ICBM systems.
Strong Communication Skills a plus
