Reporting to the Executive Director of R&D, the Director of Clinical Development will have overall responsibility for the preparation and implementation of AAA’s clinical development programs worldwide. The candidate will also be responsible to ensure high quality of clinical deliverables and support flexible resourcing of programs.

The Director of Clinical Development will be a senior member of the leadership team, working closely withAAA senior management and all R&D functions, determining the direction of the long-term clinical development strategy of AAA. Day-to-day accountabilities will include the supervision of the Clinical Development team, with direct oversight of the clinical trial program, protocol and regulatory document development, key data publications, and building and maintaining KOL and investigator relationships.The position will be based in AAA offices in New York or Millburn (NJ), USA

Key Responsibilities

The priorities for the Head of Clinical Development include:

•Mentoring and supervising a team of ca. 18 persons including CRAs, Clinical Development Managers, and Medical Writers in the US and EU. Conduct performance reviews and drive goal setting and development planning for the Clinical Development team;

•Providing medical leadership across clinical development programs in the company’s portfolio, from Phase I till product approval and post-marketing Phase IV

Skills and Experience:

•MD degree required with Oncology board certification preferred. Minimum 10 years of clinical development experience in oncology, including leading clinical development teams
