Position Description The Area Superintendent supports the Project Superintendent in the daily coordination and direction of the project. The Area Superintendent will generally concentrate focus on a particular area of the project.

Projects to which the Area Superintendent may be assigned are primarily located in the Maryland-Virginia-Washington DC metro area, and possibly the surrounding states of West Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and New Jersey. Position Requirements Essential job functions include:
• Subcontractor coordination
• Craft supervision and training
• Project safety compliance
• Scheduling
• Job planning
• Material handling
• Personnel development
• Daily reports
• Quality control
• Personnel evaluation and development

Preferred qualifications:
• Strong communication skills
• Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel based templates, Prolog, Primavera and the AutoDesk Suite
• Minimum of 5-6 years of experience on large commercial construction projects
• A 4-year degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
