Vice President – Talent and Organizational Effectiveness

Virtua, located in Southern New Jersey, is seeking a Vice President of Talent and Organizational Effectiveness, as a senior member of the Human Resources Strategic Leadership Group.  As the VP of Talent and Organizational Effectiveness, you will be responsible for leading the strategy, development and execution of key talent management, talent development and organizational effectiveness solutions aimed at enhancing Virtua’s performance. 

The Vice President of Talent and Organizational Effectiveness, reports directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer and directly manages the Director of Talent and Leadership Development, Manager of Talent and Organizational Effectiveness, Program Coordinator and Talent Development Consultant and a total team of 8.

The VP of Talent and Organizational Effectiveness, will develop and oversee the implementation of talent management and learning strategies, programs, tools, methodologies, policies, procedures and processes, which includes but is not limited to performance management, leadership development, and succession planning.  You will create, prioritize and implement integrated learning and development strategies for all areas including, executives, leaders, managers, physicians and employees.  You will identify and recommend opportunities to improve and align supporting systems and create and implement an integrated approach to talent management.  Provide leadership that integrates each talent- related functional area (talent acquisition, learning and development, and performance management).

Additionally, the VP of Talent and Organizational Effectiveness will partner with AVP’s of HR and HR Business Partners to oversee the design and implementation of integrated talent management products and services that improve organizational, business and team performance.  You will develop change management initiatives in support of the organizations strategies and provide organizational development and effectiveness support to Senior Leaders and HR Business Partners. 

Qualified candidates must have a Master’s degree in Organizational development/learning, Human Resources or related field with more than 10 years of experience in an organization development, talent development, or organizational effectiveness role.  Candidates will have a strong ability to diagnose the performance of an organization and identify solutions and will be skilled in change management.  Experience integrating talent management programs and processes into Human Resources Information Systems, is required. 

To be considered for this role, candidates must have excellent presentation and communication skills, proven ability to collaborate effectively with others, including members of HR leadership. Candidates should be comfortable being very hands on with and willing to roll up sleeves to implement both the developing the strategy and executing the plan.
