The CRM/Digital Specialist role supports the Senior Manager of Texture  with email deployment, customer relationship management (CRM) and Web support/testing. The role is part of the Rogers Media Business Unit (MBU) and works closely with Brand Marketing, The Digital Product Team and our Texture U.S counterparts to create a best in class CRM/digitalexperience helping to increase customer conversion from free trial to paid and to help minimize churn.




The Email & CRM Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to:


EMAIL/CRM Management– 40%

  • Execute on annual and campaign-level email plans in support of  Texture highlighting any automation or process improvements
  • Perform day-to-day email and push program management for Texture including regular importing of subscriber/customer data and the set-up, testing and deployment of campaigns.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation and other aspects of execution, as required.
  • Become the team expert on Exact Target/App Boy and how our systems are set up
  • In conjunction with internal experts, ensure email processes are CASL compliant, opt-in forms reflect approved legal language, all data requirements are met, and that the ongoing unsubscribe file is processed in-line with internal standards and documented processes
  • Identify new email/ in app technologies that improve and enhance the CRM experience (ie. contextually relevant emails, kinetic email, dynamic email)
  • Actively participate in ongoing review discussions to provide input into opportunities for optimization
  • Act as key advocate for CRM and advanced customer targeting opportunities – bringing forward new automation abilities and highlighting any required data integrations
  • Create a testing plan against our current CRM Journey's to optimize them and continue to push for better results
  • Understand key business KPIs  and be able to provide recommendations on how to better achieve these results through CRM strategies


Digita/Web Testing – 40%

  • Work closely with the brand team to create and execute against a web testing plan
  • Provide weekly web results, and work to constantly improve site conversion
  • Help to execute and set up campaign specific landing pages
  • Ensure proper customer journey for all go to market campaigns



  • Set up and maintaing tracking links for all campaings
  • Assist with campaign post mortems
  • Consitently report and feedback to the team the metrics on web testing and CRM activities




  • University or College Degree 
  • 3 - 5 years digital marketing experience, specifically within data, email/CRM
  • Strong knowledge of Exact Target
  • Knowledge of push notification platforms such as App Boy or similiar
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML & CSS
  • Experience with analytics – web analytics and email analytics (Google Analytics and/or Omniture)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a highly matrixed organization and collaborative team
