The chosen candidate will assume a supervisory role within the Demand Planning organization for the Client Program, overseeing and supporting the Demand Planning staff in completing day-to-day activities. Additionally, he/she will be supporting the development of tools and applications to continue driving innovative solutions, adding value to the end customer and business.

Essential Functions

  • Work closely with team members supporting a positive and productive work environment
  • Able to mentor and coach new and existing planners on core processes, procedures, and functions to advance their knowledge and performance
  • Support oversight of the Demand Planning team by providing support in deploying processes and training to a staff of Demand Planning Analysts
  • Capable of analyzing procedures and processes to then proposing changes to improve performance and deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with operating procedures as defined in position work instructions
  • Ensure coordination and completion of team functional goals and objectives
  • Coordinate activities cross-functionally amongst the various organization and peer groups within the XPO Logistics infrastructure
  • Train and develop Demand Planning Analysts in demonstrating a commitment to achieving internal company team goals
  • Access and apply XPO’s policies, procedures, and documents to ensure proper, efficient, and accurate use of the processes
  • Demonstrate and support the creation of a positive work environment and teamwork
  • Communicates well with the manager and other co-workers and departments
  • Teamwork participation in meeting contract goals and objectives

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Four-year degree with Supply Chain Management preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a supply chain planning environment or equivalent
  • Experience in the use of Forecast Management and Orders Management Solutions
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of supply chain concepts, including experience with statistical and business forecasting
  • Basic knowledge of analytical concepts and solutions including Data Science, Machine Learning, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • 25% travel required
  • Stable and comfortable office environment
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Must be capable of operating standard office equipment
