Job Description
Organization Development/Culture Management: Supports and creates a business partnership to assure alignment with each of Inova’s pyramid components. Models and achieves a supportive, open and empowered culture that sustains Inova’s Employer of Choice goals. HR Consulting: Creates a strategic partnership between Human Resources and IHS line management through proactive performance management, creative problem-solving, talent management, leadership consultation and service excellence.

Core HR Functions:

Oversees Human Resources function for the operating unit.
Responsible for ensuring that effective policies, procedures and practices are in place, which will enable competency and trait-based recruitment, selection, orientation, training and development, and retention of high performing people.
Responsible for ensuring that structures are in place to validate competency and verify licensure, as applicable.
Responsible for ensuring that work is accomplished as a System HR Leader, with an operating unit focus. Provides direction and management to direct reports and all employees in department. Handles employee relations and staff development for direct reports. Develop goals and manages fiscal activities of the department.

Requirements Experience:

Professional experience building HR consulting model within an Employer of Choice philosophical framework.
Proven track record in building relationships between management and HR, and in contemporizing the HR function from an administrative to a consultative service oriented function. Proven track record as change leader.
Experience working through Employee Relations issues and in influencing desired organization-wide cultural change in union and non-union environments. Proven track record for achieving quality outcomes and Service Excellence.
Proven track record at installing competency and trait based structures to achieve desired organizational performance and aligned HR performance results.

Education:

Bachelors degree
MBA, Masters in HR or an
MHA strongly preferred

Special Skills:

Proven leadership, people and communication skills. HR management capability, e.g. able to build and develop HR Team and deliver high quality contemporary HR services to internal clients.
