Looking for a Full-time Clinical NurseLeader in Critical Care

 

Masters Degree and CNL certification required

 

Adult Critical Care experiencepreferred

The Clinical NurseLeader (CNL) is a generalist prepared at the Master's level, who has attained CNL certification. The purpose of this role is to manage and promote group processes to achieve lateral integration of care, with a patient and family focus at the bedside/unit (microsystems) level. Functioning as a horizontal leader with an advanced skill set, the CNL is accountable for patient outcomes for a specified group of patients.

JobResponsibilities

  • Provides lateral integration of care while collaborating with patients, (as defined by the patient) families and staff to deliver 24-hour accountability for a group of patients.

  • Interfaces between client and healthcare system to effect quality outcomes using evidence based practice.

  • Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs.

  • Uses advanced critical thinking to perform risk assessment(s) and analyses to ensure patient safety.

  • Responsible for cost effective care through coordination of human, environmental, and material resources within the microsystem.

  • Oversees the management of patient care in a microsystem by designing, coordinating, supervising, delegating and evaluating the care for a specified population.

  • Addresses and communicates barriers to efficiency in the microsystem.

  • Supports continual process improvement work by engaging with staff and collaborating with Quality Improvement and otherleadership members to positively affect the microsystem functioning.

  • Demonstrates advanced advocacy skills based with sound ethical judgment.

  • Creates opportunities for mentoring of staff and supporting professional development.

  • Documents in an appropriate and timely manner.

  • Maintains compliance with organizational, regulatory and professional standards and guidelines.

  • Provides direct patient care and patient education as needed.

  • Participates in micro-mesosystem committees and meetings.

  • Collaborates with clinical manager and other resources on microsystem initiatives.

  • Performs other job-related responsibilities as requested.

Position Qualifications Education and Experience: Required Master's degree in   Nursing from an accredited college of nursing, as recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, such as Clinical Nurse Leader or related healthcare field. or a health related field
