IAT has an immediate opening for an AVP of Claims Recoveries that can be located in Raleigh, North Carolina, Omaha, Nebraska, Naperville, Illinois, or Rolling Meadows, Illinois. This role will be tasked with the providing leadership, guidance and direction of the claims recovery process.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop best practice for Claims deductible recovery, salvage and subrogation.
Help identify referral process to department and create tracking.
Develop workflow around systems and claim assignments to department.
Assist in any training needed around recoveries and recovery process.
Communicate with other areas within IAT such as Underwriting or Finance to ensure transparency regarding developing claim trends.
Actively participate in Senior Claim leadership on matters such as staffing, guidelines, strategic planning.
Monitor and evaluate manager performance, providing frequent feedback. Also responsible for hiring, training, developing and mentoring staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelors’ degree and 10 years of relevant experience in the P&C Industry or equivalent.
Equivalent is defined as 14 years of relevant vendor management experience in the P&C Industry
Must have at least 6+ years of claim and collection experience
Experience developing and implementing Claim deductible recovery, salvage and subrogation best practices
Experience with multi line recovery
Strong understanding of business tools and vendors to assist in maximizing recoveries
Proven track record with setting metrics around recovery
Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, legal terminology and claim payment procedures preferred
Must be able to influence within a matrix organization.
Strong management experience.
Extensive knowledge of the claims operations and administrative functions.
