The Advance Practice Nurse Leader (APNL) provides expert leadership, knowledge and skill in patient population-based specialty area of nursing practice, targeted toward achieving the outcomes of safety, quality, cost-effectiveness. The APNL leads and influences the practice of nursing personnel and inter-professional team members through development, implementation and evaluation of innovative evidence-based interventions, best practice guidelines and modifications of nursing and/or organization processes. The APNL generates and evaluates evidence for practice through partnership with nurses and other members of the inter-professional team and demonstrates professional leadership in work at the patient, microsystem and macrosystem levels.
The APNL role models leadership in establishing and monitoring practice standards, change management, communication, education/training, ethical decision-making, financial acumen, moral agency, and advocacy.
This position will support the Birthplace, Labor and Delivery and NICU at Fairview Southdale Hopsital in Edina, MN
· Masters in Nursing
· 3 or more years of nursing experience
· Current MN RN License or by start date
· Licensed as an Advanced Practice RN (APRN) in MN
· Certification in Specialty Area
· Doctor of Nursing Practice or Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Science
· 6 or more years Nursing experience
· 1 year or more APRNexperience
