Business Development Manager
Position location: Memphis, TN. Responsibilities will include managing and expanding our national account business. Managing and analyzingsales activity by productcategory,sales history, fill rates, pricing and profitability, creating and presenting business proposals, etc., to meet customer requirements. Developing departmental procedures and planning for administrative customer support activities with regards to department/customer growth. Creating, tracking and presenting original and revisedsales plans. Creating and maintaining monthlysales activity andbudgeting with variancereports, monthlyforecasting and tracking. Coordinating marketing and advertising activities betweeninternal departments and customers. Supporting all customer expectations as it relates tocategory management activities, analysis and productcategory insights. Analyzing the market andother industry data to create insights and propose recommendationsinternally and to the customer by product line.
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years Automotive Sales experience. Must be proficient in all MS Office Applications. Expert knowledge of MS Excel preferred (pivot tables, functions, graphing, data management, etc.) Knowledge of AS400 and Lotus Notes helpful. Basic understanding of Category Management required. Position will require 50% travel to customer locations for business maintenance, presentations, meetings, trade shows, test market activity, training, store visits, installer ride-along and new business expansion.
