Clinical Staff Instructor - Gyn / Oncology
The Clinical StaffInstructor demonstrates excellence in clinical nursing practice. Serves as a professional role model, consultant, and resource in the development of clinical nursing practice, collaboration, and consultation among members of the health care team. Responsible for coordinating/conducting and assessment oforientation and providing evidence basededucational opportunities based on a thorough assessment of needs. Demonstrates effective teaching skills used to promote both care and practice standards and is adeptworking withindividuals and with group processes. Facilitates effective communication between all members of the clinical team.
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Clinical Nurse Specialist preferred; Bachelors of Science in Nursing with work-in-progress toward MSN degree acceptable. Must have and maintain current licensure in the State of Rhode Island. A minimum of five years of clinical experience with a minimum of two years current experience in specialty nursing area, to be evaluated by supervisor. Must have and maintain certifications required for clinical area, which may include ACLS certified, BLS certified, NRP certified. (If ACLS, BLS, NRP are required for clinical area, must obtain instructor status within the first year of employment). Certification in specialty area is desirable. Excellent human relations and communication skill, including proficiency in personal computer use, required. Teaching experience is highly desirable.
