The Program Manager is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team focused on implementing a residential sector demand response program.  The ideal candidate will be an accomplished leader and possess exceptional communication and team management skills. TheProgram Manager will draw on a team of account managers, engineers, and marketing professionals to develop and implement strategies and tactics aimed at engaging customers with automated demand response solutions.  The Program Manager will effectively communicate across a spectrum of program partners, including various client teams, building HVAC contractors, industry associations, and residential customers.   This is an office-based role which may require some local travel


  • Manage direct reports and collaborate with internal and external teams drive program success while working within budget and resource constraints
  • Manage program budget and development of key deliverables, track progress towards individual and program goals, deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly progress and financial reports
  • Develop and direct outreach tactics to identify, qualify, engage and motivate  customers to enroll in automated demand response solutions
  • Identify and overcome customer participation barriers through targeted program offerings and solutions
  • Perform event planning, coordination and public presentations of program details at trade and industry events
  • Work in partnership with energy efficiency program portfolio to maximize customer programparticipation benefits
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and coordinate execution of changes with programdecision makers


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in an energy-industry team management role with a proven record ofsuccess
  • Demand response experience and familiarity with residential HVAC a plus
  • Highly proficient in verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and MS Office Suite
