Job DescriptionSummary:

The IT Product Developer is responsible for developing and coding software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal and external business requirements and are subject matter experts. The individual in this role anticipates customer needs, identify solutions and recommends best industry practices on the MOX Project. The IT Project Developer forecast objectives and activities and plan resource requirements to meet assigned project schedules and agreed upon targets.

  • Champion the commitment to safety, security, environmental and quality priorities and values throughout the MOX Project
  • Develops, documents, maintains, supports, and improves application software used to improve project productivity
  • Meets with users to gather software requirements and negotiate functional capabilities of solutions
  • Develops user requirements documents and software design documents to capture critical details which enable other programmers to facilitate long term support and maintenance of custom-developed applications
  • Develops test versions and prototypes and uses these to test application concepts with users
  • Highly effective programming skills in the Windows environment using Visual Studio and SQL Server
  • Collaborates with database administrators to develop and implement appropriate database designs
  • Applies basic application software development principals to assure security of developed software
  • Tests/debugs applications and facilitates testing by end users
  • Produces end user documentation as required
  • Responds to end user bug reports and end user enhancement requests to improve applications
  • Develops interfaces between mission critical systems and automates manually performed tasks
  • Facilitates testing of infrastructure upgrades and modifies custom software as required
  • Facilitates special ad-hoc queries and custom reports as needed to obtain special data subsets
  • Assists resolution of vulnerabilities identified in software or underlying infrastructure
  • Implements and maintains complex, other mission critical infrastructure
  • Exhibits considerable maturity in comprehending user work processes and requirements
  • Exhibits considerable maturity in making tradeoffs between desired functionality, development time, and software maintainability

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of experience, or
  • Associate's Degree plus 5 years related work experience in lieu of Bachelor's, or
  • High School Diploma plus 8 years related work experience in lieu of degree
  • 3 years of experience developing applications in the windows hardware/software environment, with expertise in Microsoft software development tools and languages
  • 3 years of experience in Microsoft Web App development and Microsoft SQL Server development
  • 3 years of experience establishing end user application work flows

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent competency in ensuring Application Security
  • Excellent competencies in planning, organization time management
  • Excellent written and oral communication, basic understanding of business operations
  • Experience accessing and using Microsoft internals, particularly Domain Naming Services (DNS), Active Directory, and Office automation programming
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer Certification
  • Experience with c# or VB.NET, JAVASCRIPT, ASP.NET, and SQL programming platforms is desired
