Centric Consulting is hiring an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to contribute to our growing national DevOps offering. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking for career growth while still being hands-on. In this blended role, you will provide technical oversight to client projects, while also being involved in practice management and business development activities.
This is a senior level, full-time opportunity.
What You'll Do as a Senior DevOps Engineer
You will lead DevOps transformations across IT operations, infrastructure, QA, security, compliance, and development teams.
You will provide thought leadership on the selection, implementation, and use of DevOps automation tools.
You will develop and mentor junior team members along a path to DevOps understanding and maturity.
You will design approaches, roadmaps, resource and budget estimates for new project work.
You will support the sales process including helping develop marketing materials and proposals, and participating in client meetings.

Do you like to travel? Good, because we need someone who likes being on the road. Expect up to 75% travel.
Last, but not least, you will need to be an experienced DevOps practitioner, with a strong knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including Agile, IT Infrastructure, Operations, and Development. Other helpful experience includes knowledge of a DevOps friendly language (such as Python or Go), shell scripting, basic networksecurity principles and configuration/containerization tools (such as Chef, Puppet, Docker, etc). Cloud certification a plus.
