Provide strategic and trans-regional/operational Information Operations Intelligence Integration and Human Influence support to Joint Information Operations Warfare Center (JIOWC), Joint Staff, and CCMD staffs to augment the capabilities, tools, and technologies supporting the JIOWC intelligence mission set; identify opportunities to enhance processes by gathering data, knowledge, and information concepts and technologies; and support joint projects with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

The JIOWC contains the specialized Human Influence Targeting Team (HITT). The HITT supports primarily the MISO/Influence Operations community. 

The JIOWC's HITT team is an IO/MISO (psychological operations) research support and reach-back group for analyzing influence targets and developing influence recommendations for IO and MISO planners.



Behavioral Scientist / MISO Officer (Clinical Psychologist) for the Human Influence Targeting Team (HITT), which specializes in human factors analysis and remote psychological personality assessment of individuals and groups MISO/IO influence operations servicing all of the COCOMS, Joint Chiefs of  Staff, SOCOM, Army IO Proponency Office, AF MISO program, Air Staff, and the 4th MISOG. 

The HIT produces Special Influence Reports on individuals, Target Audience Analysis, regional and cultural analysis, and influence analysis and recommendations for many other areas of concern, conflicts, and key leader engagements.

The position requires the individual to act as a psychological profiler; MISO/PSYOP planning analyst and IO/influence operations planner.

The person will become the Senior Behavioral Scientist in the JIOWC  J2 division. The HITT has a Clinical Psychologist and Forensic Social Worker position for Joint MISO planning abilities.


Top Secret/SCI Clearance - Mandatory

Fifteen (15) plus years of Senior Scientist experience, with the ability to conduct social science analysis and human influence analysis with emphasis in Information Operations. Must have in-depth knowledge in psychology, social psychology, behavioral science, and/or cultural anthropology; a doctorate (preferred) or master’s degree with applied human influence experience is required.

The MacB company seeks a PhD or PsyD  in Clinical or Counseling Psychology with military operational, psychological, and medical unit experience as a military psychologist.

The person must have sufficient experience as a clinical psychotherapist and have the ability to perform psychological assessments. 

The individual should be able to analyze research on mental disorders, symptoms, personalities and life patterns to apply to an analysis of an individual using human factors information.

  An individual with a M.S. in Clinical Psychology; experience in personality profiling, and/or military experience in psychological operations would be considered.


The most desirable clinician should have at least 8years therapeutic experience and doctoral level academic research experience. 

This individual must have the ability to perform behavioral analysis, diagnostic evaluations, and personality profiling to be able of assess and recommend behavioral and communication actions that might influence another person or group to develop new behaviors that facilitates U. S. interests.

Training and some experience with psychological operations, marketing and influence communications would be extremely valuable as well. Experience with intelligence analysis, HUMMIT and other information gathering, cultural and religious awareness, and effective mass communications awareness is also important. 

The psychologist would provide comprehensive recommendations to IO and psychological (MISO) operations to support military customers. A thorough understanding of behavioral reinforcement conditioning would also be of value for mass influence operations or individual behavior change.
