  • Establish processes and methodologies for successful project management of complex systems implementation and integration projects, as well as application development and enhancement projects and infrastructure/technology upgrades.
  • Effectively and efficiently initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, and close all assigned projects.
  • Create and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, assigned resources, and risks for all assigned projects.
  • Directly support business needs and goals with all assigned projects, including but not limited to business process definition, user requirements gathering, and managing all stakeholder expectations.
  • Prepare, manage, and maintain detailed design and requirements documentation for entire project lifecycle.
  • Nurture and sustain constant, clear, and transparent communication with project staff and stakeholders.
  • Conduct periodic project status meetings with project staff and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular documentation and reports to project sponsors and senior management.
  • Champion project management best practices and support organizational process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to benefit the organization and its members.
  • Participate in identifying problems and suggesting solutions that the IT organization can implement;
  • Supports the evolution of the systems development methodology for the organization, and ensure consistency of applying the systems development methodologies (following technical standards and procedures) across all organization projects.
  • Provides direction and manage team members comprised of employees and consultants that are assigned to the project in a matrix relationship
  • Plans and coordinates projects with users, development teams, and IT support areas
  • Responsible for managing the project control processes for Issues/Risks, Schedule, Operational Readiness, Scope and Quality Assurance
  • Coordinates system changes across multiple platforms, develop and execute comprehensive project plans, and negotiate project scope, deliverables, and schedule
  • Some overnight travel as necessary to fulfill job and assigned responsibilities.
  • Any additional responsibilities as the Executive Vice President may assign.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.  MBA or related graduate degreepreferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in all phases of systems and application implementation and development.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience as a project team leader, driving complex projects to successful implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of IT best practices, including systems and application implementation and development.
  • Demonstrated expertise and success in managing enterprise level projects on time, within budget.
  • Demonstrated experience with effective communication at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with tracking and monitoring projects, including regular progress reporting.
  • Advanced experience with project management best practices and methodologies, including Agile.
  • Experience with development and maintenance of systems development methodology standards and practices.
  • Ability to think strategically, considering organizational goals and requirements with all projects.
  • Ability to foster, support, and sustain positive and constructive approaches with all projects.
  • Ability and experience to be flexible, effectively manage change, and handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to take initiative on assigned projects/tasks and work with minimal supervision to completion.
