Overall Job Objective:

Assist in the management of the corporate risk management and property and casualty insurance program, ensuring best practices and standards are implemented and followed.


  • Facilitate issuance of auto identification cards
  • Request certificates to appropriately comply with requirements within the confines of Ferguson Risk Tolerance and insurance program.
  • Interpret certificates of insurance for contractor compliance
  • Identify risks and appropriate controls to remediate or mitigate risks
  • Independently provide expert guidance and recommendations to associates regarding corporate insurance program.  May need to consult with team members for complex situations
  • Explain the intent of the insurance program
  • Review contracts with vendors and customers to identify areas where our insurance cannot comply and areas of risk to be avoided or mitigated.
  • Create loss reports utilizing RMIS
  • Create renewal submissions for the insurance marketplace
  • Develop, support, champion and participate in execution and continued improvement of Risk Management initiatives
  • Build relationships with field associates and corporate departments
  • Facilitate and train on various topics related to Risk Management and Insurance
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment when addressing issues
  • Analyze internal processes and identify areas for improved efficiencies
  • Identify and resolve internal and external customer issues
  • Pursue productivity improvements and cost saving projects
  • Manage and effect property claims resolutions
  • Perform supervisory duties as directed by management
  • Review and maintain property and casualty insurance policies
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service


  • 5 years experience in Risk Management or Insurance
  • Professional Designation such as CPCU or CRM
  • Understanding of insurance programs and design
  • Demonstrate analytical and decision making skills
  • Strong communication skills (both Oral and written)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work within a team environment and independently
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Highly motivated and customer service oriented
