SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER


Primary Responsibilities
Located at Grace Lake Corporate Center (GLCC) in Van Buren Twp., near Ann Arbor, Michigan, the Sales Account Manager will provide a single point of contact for the customer groups. This role will provide leadership and direction for all aspects of commercial negotiation including understanding of cost, quality, timing, and delivery for current, forward and pursuit programs, investigation and pursuit of new customer business opportunities, development of RFQ quote preparation, provide commercial and program leadership to develop and implement marketing strategies to accomplish division and product group business plan objectives.

Typical Duties
• Leverage relationships with customers in the maintenance and pursuit of new business
• Anticipate the issuing of "Requests for Quote", and alert appropriate business leaders so that advanced preparation can be carried out.
• Be the single interface with the customer for the receipt and return of requests for quote. Manage customer RFQ turnaround process in a timely way consistent with procedures and objectives.
• Align Visteon support to ensure a timely response to requests for quote.
• Determine, communicate, and resolve any discriminators that will influence the awarding of business.
• Anticipate and communicate any competitive insights regarding a RFQ.
• Finalizing sourcing agreements with customer purchasing, in concurrence with agreed financial metrics.
• Support planning in regard to commodity and OEM product directions for future development.
• Track program financials and maintain program profitability for communication with management.
• Communicate customer expectations to internal cross functional team members.
• Direct resolution of any issues between the customer and Visteon, and coordinate communications to customer groups.
• Provide leadership to maintain existing business and identify opportunities for growth
• Maintain and manage open issue logs for related programs or activities
• Productivity negotiation, processing, verification

Requirements Requirements
Years of Experience: 5 years work experience in a commercial automotive, sales environment
Degree Strongly Preferred: Bachelor Degree in Business or Engineering required

• Vehicle and electronics products knowledge.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong team player
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Understand the automotive business
• Experience gained within an automotive (OEM or supplier) sales, program management and/or business development environment
• Ability to interpret and formulate reports recommending future market opportunities
• Working knowledge of the automotive market (customer, technologies, competition and market trends, etc.)
• Technical capability to properly represent the company’s products

Special Requirements
Flexibility in working hours to work with a global team may be required. Some flexibility for global travel is important.
