Participates as a team member performing threat analyses based on knowledge on electronic warfare/intelligence systems and concept. Contributes to development ofanalytical threat models and provides functional guidance and direction to threat studies team in overall conduct ofproject(s). Work activities are performed under general guideline and direction. Supports team performing expert-level research and analysis of intelligence and related data support of threat studies. Provides advice, guidance and direction to threat studies team. Supports team providing other technical services such as computer software system design/development, installation and integration planning, testing, and support of a wide-range of systems that support intelligence functions. Meets withcorporate and customer representatives project team members to facilitate and coordinate study activities. Conducts project briefings to assess study progress and to ensure consistency in meeting study objective. Participates in and manages the preparation ofproposals in response to RFP's from potential customers. Assists other corporate representatives in related proposal development. Prepares, submits and presents reportsand issue papers to customer representatives. Requires a detailed knowledge of threat/war doctrine and concepts and threat forces. Requires knowledge of advanced threat analysis technology in such areas as telecommunications, computer science, electronic warfare and/or nuclear/biological, or chemical warfare. Requires a detailed knowledge of Department of Defense and service level (Army, Navy, Air Force) intelligence communities, including collection methods and production resources and responsibilities. Requires skills and abilities in supervising the handling classified information. Requires working knowledge with military order ofbattle, chain of command and communications/information security. Requires strong knowledge of technology related to electronic warfare.
BA or BS with 7 to 10 years of experience. Equivalent years: BA/BA = HS + 7 years' experience; MA/MS = BA/BS + 7 years' experience.
Experience with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources for the purposes of documenting results and analyzing findings to provide meaningful products
Ability to monitor and analyze logs and alerts from a variety of different technologies, including IDS/IPS, firewall, proxies, and anti-virus across multiple platforms
Ability to develop specific expertise, discern patterns ofcomplex threat actor behavior, and communicate an understanding of current and developing Cyber threats
Maintains one or more of the following professional credentials desired: Certified National Threat Analyst (CNTA) or Certified Cyber Threat Analyst (CCTA)
A working knowledge and understanding of theIntelligence Community (IC), DoD, and NGA.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills (including but not limited to: correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, etc.).
Be able to execute work independently and as a team member.
Demonstrate good interpersonal skills – using tact, patience and courtesy.
Be skilled in using the Microsoft ®Office suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
