This position will beresponsible for driving the domestic growth of the business unit and execute strategies to maintain incumbent position. Additionally, will provide knowledge and assistance to Corporate and Segment Divisions to increase business development and systems thinking proficiency.  Responsibilitieswill include:

  • Develop a detailed strategic plan for maintaining existing and building new domestic business relationships
  • Research and drive business expansion and/or collaboration opportunities for the market
  • Develop, in conjunction with Segment, Sector and Division Presidents, the domestic market strategic plan
  • Develop business development presentations and action plans for new customers
  • Identify future industry trends and customer contact opportunities
  • Enhance existing customer team programs and identify new pilot program opportunities
  • Develop strong customer relationships on all levels
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of important market trends and product categories
  • Keep up with industry dynamics
  • Participate in key industry organizations while maintaining high level of visibility. Work towards a membership of the Board of Directors on either AUSA MI or NDIA MI
  • Leads the Customer Account Management for domestic efforts
  • Develop and implement product advertising and marketing strategies
  • Work closely with Engineering and Program Management to determine how we can build what the customer needs
  • Establish relationships with local and state representatives in support of our product strategies
  • Pursue congressional funding in support of product development



  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or the Engineering field required, Master’s preferred
  • Minimum of 20years of relevant experiencerequired
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Experience in both domestic and international business development
  • Experience in marketing military vehicles preferred
  • Strong experience in working with TACOM, PEO-GCS and PEO-CS/CSS military customers required
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office applications
  • Office location open to discussion, but Detroit area is preferred
  • Ability to get security clearance  required
  • Must be able to move freely, with or without accommodation, throughout the manufacturing environment
  • Must be willing to travel domestically as well as internationally
