QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree required. Four years of additional relevant experience can be used in lieu of degree.    

Must have a minimum of five years of technical expertise in a specific software application, including experience in software integration, external interface development, technical documentation, data conversion, problem determination and resolution for the specific application.

Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) experience is preferred.

Excellent communication, analytical, and development skills required.

Must have ability to think strategically, balance long and short-term priorities.   

Must have ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence with clients; establish strong working relationships with business and technology partners at all levels; exercise sound judgment; collaborate effectively with peers, subordinates and superiors.

Must understand the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Must understand business operations and key business drivers (or aptitude to develop understanding quickly).

The candidate must be flexible in terms of working practices as the role requires on call rotation which might include some evening, weekend and holiday work.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Perform installation, configuration, administration, and tuning of software application software. 
 

Coordinate and administer all Software Configuration Management (SCM) activities including defect tracking, configuration identification, change management, status accounting, and verification.
 

Insure the execution of system backups.
 

Provide technical support and trouble-shooting assistance on software application related issues.
 

Establish and maintain software configuration management plans, processes, and procedures.
 

Run software builds to track and control changes and analyze potential build problems.
 

Recommend useful and needed changes and work with development team to correct errors.
 

Make determination on restricting changes in order to maintain software integrity.
 

Is involved in the coordination and deployment of new applications/releases and post-rollout activities
 

Execute applications to support testing.
 

Coordinate system deployments.
 

Support web services management.
 

Support Control M management.
 

Provide configuration data and support for server management.

Provide support to the testing team on an as needed basis.

Document system problems and resolutions for future reference.

Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance on software application related issues.

Maintain configuration management.
