Reporting directly to the Vice President for Student Life, the Director of Campus Living serves as a member of the Student Life leadership team, contributing to the development of the Enrollment Growth and Student Housing Master Plan. The Director of Campus Living provides innovative, visionary and transparent leadership in the strategic planning, management, and administration for a large, complex, high-quality residential system currently comprised of thirteen residence halls and five apartments complexes that offers a variety of living options for a total of 7,800 students.. The division is comprised of the following components: Residence Life, Residential Facilities, Administrative Operations and Housing Operations.
The Director supervises seven direct reports and a staff consisting of 244 employees and a $60 million budget. Responsibilities include short and long term planning; resource planning and stewardship; goal setting; supervision of central staff; risk management, emergency preparedness; and formulation/implementation of policy. The Director is responsible for short and long term facilities planning, including capital projects, renovation, deferred maintenance and debt management for both new and existing residential facilities. Working collaboratively with many campus stakeholders the Director will support national best practices throughout all residential programs, maintaining occupancy goals while focusing on programs that support student success. Additionally, the Director is a member of the Student Life leadership team.

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five year’s experience in higher education with progressively greater responsibilities demonstrating innovative, visionary and transparent leadership.
Master’s degreepreferred. Educational background in student personnel, business or higher educationpreferred. Experience in residence hall management is highly desired but candidates who have demonstrated these qualities in other aspects of university leadership are encouraged to apply.
