Global Services Engineering (GSE), Military group, develops innovative repair solutions to observed & predicted distress on all components for all P&W military jet engines in order to economically return the engine to service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead a multi-discipline Integrated Product Team (IPT) to establish repair design requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the quality requirements of the Original Engineered Manufactured (OEM) parts.Research operating environments and functionality of components, their interactions with mating parts, and develop strategies which will return damaged parts back to service.Create technical documents that provide engineering requirements for repairs, including a high level sequence of operations forming the basis for manufacturing operation sheets.Participate in the prototyping of new repairs.Support the Customer in the resolution of field supportability issues.Support engine tear down and hardware inspection evaluations as needed.Ensure repair tasks are completed to schedule and on budget. Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 7-10 years of mechanical design experience. Experience in the use of Unigraphics/NX or similar CAD application is required. Exposure to cost and schedule management or team leadership is a plus. Experience with manufacturing processes such as plating, plasma spray, welding and brazing is also a plus. US Citizenship is required.
Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 7-10 years of mechanical design experience. Experience in the use of Unigraphics/NX or similar CAD application is required. US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to cost and schedule management or team leadership is a plus. Experience with manufacturing processes such as plating, plasma spray, welding and brazing is also a plus.

Education: Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
