Supply Chain Engineer

Position Description
Responsible for analysis and utilization of continuous improvement tools to design Supply Chain Solutions in current and future operations.
• Perform and implement innovative and strategic initiatives involving productivity improvements to create process efficiencies and savings
• Measure progress and impact of continuous improvement initiatives against targets
• Monitor reports and perform periodic validation checks to ensure the network Engineering Standards match the current processes
• Leads best practice sharing across the network
• Lead Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping events, continuous improvement projects and other activities that execute the sites strategic Transformation Plan resulting in bottom line company savings
Requirements
- Bachelors degreerequired in Engineering/Business/Supply Chain or a minimum of 8years of relevant work experience
- Minimum of four years of related experience is required
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- MBA and/or IndustrialEngineering Masters Degreepreferred
- LeanSix Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred, attainment is required within 12months
- American Production Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification is preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in: MS Office MS Project and/or AutoCAD, Warehouse Management System (WMS), and Inventory Analyst tools Visio Mapping analysis tools and/or Simulation, preferred
Responsibilities
- Collects data and performs statistical analysis Maps and documents processes
- Recommends and implements process improvement Redesigns and/or reengineers logistics processes
- Supports business development and creates efficient designs and solutions
- Confers with the Engineering and Operations Managers to implement efficient and competitive solutions
- Manages small and medium size projects
- Assists in the development and delivery of presentations to customers as part of the sales team effort
