The Vice President, Talent Acquisition Strategy is responsible for defining and leading the talent sourcing strategies and improving the overall recruiting processes to recruit and onboard top talent for MGM Resorts International.  This position will work with leaders to strategically identify talent acquisition process gaps and issues that impact our effectiveness. The Vice President will identify and implement sourcing tools and processes to support the Company’s talent needs. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices and procedure.

  • Partner with leaders across the Company to identify talent acquisition needs and opportunities
  • Work with executives to strategically identify talent acquisition process gaps and issues that impact our effectiveness
  • Define and implement a comprehensive talent sourcing strategy to support the recruiting needs of the Company
  • Assess and optimize existing recruiting and sourcing tools to deliver business results
  • Identify and implement sourcing tools and processes to support the Company’s talent needs
  • Define and implement consistent recruiting processes for each talent segment of the Company ie: high-volume, corporate, executive
  • Define and implement consistent talent selection tools and processes for each segment of the Company ie: high-volume, corporate, executive
  • Define and consistent onboarding processes for each talent segment of the Company ie: high-volume, corporate, executive
  • Define and implement an internal mobility process to drive talent movement across the organization
  • Develop, implement, and oversee internal career fairs and transition services
  • Develop, implement, and oversee recruiting metrics, scorecards and dashboards
  • Leverage process improvement tools, techniques, and methods to identify root causes and action plans
  • Oversee talent acquisition projects and initiatives to increase our effectiveness
  • Consult, support and provide guidance to HR leaders on talent acquisition strategies and processes
  • Identify, develop, and build talent acquisition capabilities in the organization
  • Identify, develop, and implement training and education to build talent acquisition capabilities in HR
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team to drive employee engagement
  • Other job related duties as requested

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education
  • 10 years of experience in a Human Resources leadership role
  • 10 years of experience in Talent Acquisition

Preferred:

  • Graduate degree
  • Hospitality, gaming or similar industry experience
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
