American Traffic Solutions (ATS) - Safety Division - focuses on enhancing safety in communities across the United States with its red-light, speed and school bus stop arm enforcement solutions. Our road safety cameras have effectively enforced traffic laws and saved lives for nearly 300 jurisdictions and school districts. Only ATS brings together industry-leading technology with all of the other elements needed to ensure a successful road safety camera program.

ATS' Mesa office is hiring a Business Development Manager, an individual who will be responsible for generating new business for ATS by helping grow the company’s sales pipeline. The BDM will also cultivate opportunities to generate new demand for ATS’s new and existing products and solutions. The successful individual will be expected to meet weekly lead generation targets and provide both web based and in person presentations to prospective clients. Perseverance, follow-up and relationship building are important as is multitasking because multiple opportunities need to be cultivated simultaneously. An effective salesperson for ATS will have the ability to help the customer develop an understanding of how our products will help enhance safety in their community.  Experience with law enforcementsalespreferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • BS, BA or MSDegree

  • 5+ years direct salesexperience

  • Prior experience selling within the (local) law enforcement space highly preferred

  • Team player with an appropriate sense of urgency

  • Proven ability to close business deal

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Deep facilitation, problem solving, consensus building and issue resolution skills

  • Comfort with online research, search engines and other primary research

  • Required to travel independently locally and / or regionally. Ability to travel at least 25% of the time (overnights included)

  • Significant experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, working knowledge of Salesforce, Windows, Visio, Prezi and rest of MS Office Suite
