The Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Engineering organization seeks to maximize company and customer funding efficiencies through a product line approach. In order to best support software product line management and realize its benefits, we seek to hire a Senior Software Engineer to serve as Software Architect for modernized GPS products.
This Senior Software Engineer position supporting Navigation Products Engineering programs will include development of M-Code GPS software systems and implementing embedded software in products for the U.S military. This position requires expert skills in software development/verification environments, requirements definition, detailed design, software implementation, unit test, and integration. Responsibilities for this position include working together with multiple stakeholders to development market requirements, driving architectures that support commonality and reuse, and ownership of engineering aspects of software product line roadmaps.
The successful applicant will be able to foster collaboration between the teams supporting multiple market segments; possess good communication and diplomacy skills for interfacing with multiple stakeholders; possess personal leadership qualities; and willingly performs a broad array of tasks from basic support functions to advanced software engineering analysis.
The ideal candidate is considered an expert in C/C++. Experience and knowledge of GPS and/or radio communications systems, ARM processing environments, and Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) is strongly desired. Experience with MATLAB/Simulink is a plus. This Senior Software Engineer provides direction to software teams and serves as software architect. This candidate will lead implementation of full software life-cycle and the tools necessary. This candidate will also be required to participate and provide technical insight on program proposals and bid efforts. They consistently produce exemplary results on the projects and teams they collaborate with.
Must Have Requirements:
*Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline
* Applicant must have or be capable of obtaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
* Expert in C/C++
*Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
*Experience and knowledge of GPS and/or radio communications systems, ARM processing environments, and Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) is strongly desired
