The Intensive Insulin Management (IIM) business unit serves the needs of those with type 1 diabetes and those who use intensive insulin regimens with type 2-diabetes. The Principal Sales Systems Analyst position is responsible for Sales Force Automation Tools in support of the US IIM Sales Force, acting as a liaison between the Commercial Organization and IT for U.S. IIM sales reporting systems. This individual will work collectively with Sales Management, Marketing, Finance, IT and other functional stakeholders to understand business technology and automation needs by proactively identifying, analyzing and recommending key opportunities/initiatives for driving sales force performance. This position requires the ability to interact with stakeholders across the Diabetes business functions and multiple levels of leadership. The role reports to the Manager of Sales Administration.

A Day in the Life
• Interface with internal IT Department and external software vendor/partners, in the design, development, prioritization, testing and deployment of business solutions
• Responsible for communicating business design requirements, guiding development, testing, validation, deployment, management, enhancement, and recommendation of Sales Reporting systems/solutions
• Perform detailed problem solving, along with process and technical expertise involving complex criteria/situations
• Lead and/or be a key contributor on Sales Force Automation projects
• Serve as a subject matter expert for U.S. IIM Sales Force Automation applications
• Perform ad-hoc tasks using available tools and resources, leveraging the skills of those within and outside of the team
• Designs, Implements and maintains a variety of Sales Force Effectiveness initiatives in support of the sales force,
• Works closely with the field sales organization to ensure alignment on initiatives.
• Manages cross-functional projects and executes on objectives through influence management.
• Ability to work in a team orientated environment
• Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of professional experience required OR Master's Degree and 5+ years of professional experience
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook •
• Experience with SAP, Business Objects and/or SQL server databases
• Excellent attention to detail

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced degree and 5-7 years of relevant business experience
• Experience with Anaplan, Tableau, Salesforce and other commercial technology platforms
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Excellent attention to detail
• Prior Medical Device or Pharma industry experience
• Demonstrated influence management skills within matrixed organization
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/tasks/assignments
• Self-starter and self-directed
