PLAYSTUDIOS is seeking an Engineering Staff Manager to join our team. The Engineering Staff Manager will assist in the management of engineers for PLAYSTUDIOS' free-to-play apps and live operations. 


The Engineering Staff Manager will work with the VP of Engineering, senior engineers, and producers to identify project resource needs, assess team performance, coordinate performance reviews, facilitate training, and planbudgets.

  • Assess and document project engineeringstaffing needs
  • Drive recruitment of engineers, with support from HR and recruiters
  • Analyze and report on engineering staff skill and experience profile
  • Gather information for and author annual performance reviews
  • Ensure timely constructive correctives, in collaboration with HR
  • Advise on training needs and resources
  • Develop and maintain engineering staff budget
  • Coordinate engineering team meetings and summits
  • Provide employment data and documentation for staff members
  • Produce exemplary personal work


  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience, including 2 as software developer and 2 as staff manager
  • Track record of successful staff management
  • Sound knowledge of software and team development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High fluency in project management and office productivity software
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and senior management
  • Capacity to adapt to changing business objectives, and manage change


  • Experience in agile, iterative project management methodology
  • Experience in sub-monthly updates to live content
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Experience in client and server development
  • Experience in entertainment software development
  • Experience in mobile app development
