Overview & Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY : Assists in the preparation of external financialreports and internal reporting documents. Interprets GAAP pronouncements, and applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues. Tracks company transactions and frequently analyzes accounting information.

JOB COMPLEXITY

  • Assist in the preparation and development of external financialreporting.

  • Research and document conclusions for intermediate GAAP and technical accounting issues related to new accounting standards, new transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and other areas.

  • Analyze financial statement balances and fluctuations.

  • Generate supporting schedules for management reporting

  • Participate in process improvement actions.

  • Collaborate with various business groups and departments to resolve technical accounting and financialreporting issues.

  • Oversee the Company’s monthly consolidation and translation process including proper elimination of our intercompany accounts.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate understanding of technical accounting including GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

  • Strong time management and organization skills. Ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs while meeting hard deadlines.

  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financialreports and disclosures.

  • Ability to clearly communicate information and ideas to various stakeholders, including leadership.

  • Strong written communication skills. Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.

  • Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.

  • Ability to provide FANATICAL support.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.

  • CPApreferred; at a minimum must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam.

  • Typically requires 6-9 years of professional accounting experience or 3+ years public accounting experience.

  • Demonstrated technical knowledge competency.

  • Public and/or Big Four experiencepreferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply conceptual knowledge and perform practical application of US GAAP.
