Description

This position is responsible for understanding the business/operational environment and developing and implementing effective marketing programs and strategies that promote revenue growth and brand awareness through involvement in brand specific and national brand activity.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and Implement effective marketing programs

o Develop marketing opportunities that will result in revenue growth and effective fulfillment of service line specific needs.

o Create and guide service line specific marketing opportunities.

o Be a primary interface between business unit and shared service marketing team when appropriate to assure effective and beneficial outcomes

o Interface more often and more directly with business unit support and leadership to assure that marketing can maximize our impact.

o Communicate strategic marketing opportunities to relevant business units

o Conduct environmental scans and research to identify opportunities and uncover trends

o Participate in the creation of Business development specific opportunities.

o Help shape and execute national approaches on selected marketing issues

• Build strong partner relationships and identify/sell opportunities for value-adds

o Actively work to maintain and improve relationships with service line leads – both operational and clinical.

o Actively promote best practices, new ideas and participation in marketing activity

o Make our external customers feel that we are an extension of their thinking, but be viewed by service line resources as an expert resource for marketing decisions and strategies

o Be able to imagine new approaches and be willing to promote/debate them in a confident but respectful way

o Deliver marketing outputs that support the values of EVPS

• Be accountable for operational performance within the company and the economic performance of marketing programs/spending

o Monitor and be accountable to internal metrics and revenue results that have been derived from related marketing and branding initiatives

o Properly budget and work within departmental budget with all work

o Identify opportunities for marketing staff cooperation, tapping the expertise of peers, and utilizing previously successful creative approaches and materials

o Conduct timely post-audit analysis of all marketing initiatives. This may require adhering to analytical standards set by the VP, Marketing – Physician Services.

o Become fluent in WorkFront – the departments primary project management and preduct delivery tool

• Monitor RSC and market-specific trends:

o Understand the impact of the current and changing environment on the performance of the industry/specialty.

o Develop intimate knowledge of service line environment including competitive forces and threats, opportunities, leading business indicators.

o Aid in the vetting and planning of new business opportunities.

• Work with shared services to assure that all marketing output meets EVPS quality, legal, compliance and branding standards

• Serves as a key expert for the division operations teams and regional support centers, working across multiple teams to provide leadership on marketing strategies and market planning.

• Serves as part of the Marketing department function and is expected to help disseminate best practices, identify potential efficiencies in the company's marketing spending, and shape/execute programs that have application across multiple centers and regions.

 

Regular and reliable attendance required.

Successful candidate will pass a background check and drug screen.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in business or health care related field is required. Knowledge of Hospital-based operations is a plus.

Other Qualifications:

Working knowledge of the tools of Marketing Communications: collateral, broadcast, outdoor, print, direct mail, internet, etc. Demonstrated ability to bring exceptional business acumen as well as creativity to the marketing of healthcare services and providers. Demonstrated ability to function as a strong member of a highly motivated and integrated management team. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to project as a credible marketing expert and advocate in front of our physician partners.\Strong personal presence combined with good listening and persuasion skills. Demonstrated ability to project a positive and energetic persona within the organization and when interacting with our physician partners. Comfort level working in a matrix organization where there may occasionally be mixed signals and competing priorities. Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence and leadothers, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency.
