Summary--Research Informatics Specialist 
This is a full-time, salary/exempt position based on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO. Serves as the Research Informatics Specialist in the Central Research Office for UCHealth. Manages the Research Integrated Team (RIT) and the Research in Epic Workgroup. Reviews and approves all data analytics requests for research. Facilitates utilization of Epic for research end-users.   

Job Duties

  • Develops, implements and evaluates application and documentation formats, validation tests, data collection methods, databases, and other data recording measures.
  • Applies standard, descriptive, and inferential analysis methods as appropriate to interpret and report on collected research data. Implements data management procedures compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures the consistent implementation of data collection procedures by staff.
  • Trains staff on implemented tools and applications.
  • Collaborates on the purchase, testing and implementation of data management/analysis applications and systems. May develop customized data management tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a health or information technology related field
  • 1year clinical research or information technologyexperience

Preferred

  • Epic Certification(s)
  • Clinical research experience
  • Proficient with process change
  • MS Visio proficiency
