Impact Makers is looking for a Sr. Project Manager who can also serve as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more industry standard PPM tools. Microsoft Project Server Consulting required but affinity with other tools a plus.  As a Sr. Project Manager, in addition to duties associated with the day to day project management, the Sr. PM must have the ability to take projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, distributors, and vendors. Ensures adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables. May communicate with a company executive regarding the status of specific projects. As the PPM SME, Sr. Project Manager will assist !m clients with the implementation of MS Project Server functionality and support internalefforts to expand the !m PPM service offering around a variety of client needs.  The ability to aide user adoption is critical.

Skills & Qualifications


  • 7+ years of direct project/program management experience
  • 3+ years PPM tool administration and use
  • Experience in implementing or converting to Project Online
  • Experience in implementing or converting to Project Server 2016
  • 2+ years working in an Agile environment
  • 1+ years Agile Coaching


  • Comfortable with both Waterfall and Agile delivery frameworks a plus
  • Experience using TFS, LeanKit, etc. Agile/Kanban tools

Duties Include:

  • Comprehensive understanding of project management lifecycle
  • Serve as !m SME on PPM tools
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques to keep the projectplan accurate, updated, reflective of authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan, and facilitate customer acceptance. Ensures that the right IT and business resources are engaged
  • Execute the tasks as defined in the project plan to achieve the project goals
  • Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the Project Plan, to align the stakeholders and team members
  • Record detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders to establish the project deliverables, using requirement-gathering techniques (e.g., planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.  Escalate as necessary.
  • Implement the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events to minimize the impact of the risks on the project
  • Conduct a kick-off meeting with all key stakeholders to announce the start of the project and review the overall project plan and gain consensus
  • Document high-level risks, assumptions, and constraints using historical data and expert judgment to understand project limitations
  • Communicates information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
