Summary:

The position reports the Associate Director, Compliance. This role will support the implementation of corporate compliance programs with a focus on aggregate spend program management. The primary responsibility of this individual is to ensure that aggregate spend data is being captured and reported in an accurate, complete, and timely manner in accordance with evolving global, federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture, load and report transfers of value (cash or in-kind) provided to covered recipients, directly or indirectly, in support of federal and state transparency reporting laws
  • Monitor identified covered recipient spend source streams to ensure data is being submitted per expected schedule
  • Filter data through SAAS or related databases to prepare for data loads
  • Oversee data loads into Aggregate Spend database
  • Help manage Aggregate Spend database vendor
  • Perform high-level reasonableness checks for all covered recipient spend data received based on historical trends, legal requirements, systems and divisional business processes
  • Perform detailed review/audit for accuracy and completeness based on defined criteria (e.g. product/division mismatch, purpose/description mismatch, unusually high/low dollar value, etc.)
  • Follow up with functional points of contact to investigate all incomplete and/or anomalous data; discuss with Associate Director to determine action required to correct
  • Assemble and lead a cross-functional team, including both external vendors and internal business partners
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve the effectiveness and/or efficiency of any related covered recipient spend system/process and support enhancement efforts as needed (e.g. create functional requirements, define test scripts, perform UAT, etc.).
  • Develop & maintain process/procedure documentation using standardized templates
  • Assist on business projects associated with Aggregate Spend Program
  • Respond to inquiries from HCPs, external parties, field employees, and internal personnel to answer questions associated with HCP reported information from transparency and state reports
  • Support other Compliance projects and programs related to Aggregate Spend and Transparency associated with: HCP Marketing and advertising payment information, grants and charitable contributions, clinical investigations and R&D payments Ability to navigate and interpret Clinical Trial Management Systems and related clinical trial data

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA
  • 3-5 years previous compliance and/or finance or IT systems related or business analytics experience
  • Experience with aggregate spend reporting requirements and analytics
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work with SAAS or related databases
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, paired with strong partnering and consulting skills
  • Team player with demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships throughout all levels of the organization
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with employees across departments and throughout the company
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Excellent time management skills (able to meet identified deadlines)
  • Ability to prioritize regularly changing workload
  • Attention to detail and rigorous approach required, with the ability to remain focused on the bigger picture
