ob Description

Candidate shall:

 

  • Develop, write, and edit material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment
  • Receive assignments from supervisor
  • Interview production and engineering personnel and reads journals, reports, and other material to become familiar with product technologies and maintenance methods
  • Review manufacturer's and trade catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment.
  • Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail
  • Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
  • Review materials and recommends revision or changes in scope, format, and content
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions, select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material
  • Assist in laying out material for publication, arrange for typing, duplication and distribution of material
  • Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers.
  • Work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing materials
  • Review maintenance completion reports for proper format and grammar prior to submission to the client
  • Correct all format and grammatical deficiencies in documents for submission to client
  • Transfer raw data into report format for review by Engineers and Planner/Estimators
  • Retrieve information required for report completion from storage locations
  • Organize all appropriate files in accordance with office policy
  • Upload all documents into SharePoint system for review
  • Communicate with Engineers and Planner/Estimators to ensure technical accuracy as necessary

Required Skills

-Excellent oral and written communication skills

-Strong willingness to learn new technology

Required Experience

-Must possess at minimum; Secret Clearance

-Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite

-8+ years’ experience preparing official documents and/or publications for government clients

-2+ years' experience with SharePoint

 

*Experience in the maintenance field is preferred
