Serves as the subject matter expert and operations coordinator of theBI Frontend Master Solutions (PaaS for Tableau, MS Power BI, Qlikview) and collaborates with operations team, IT Architects, Systems Analysts and within the Business Intelligence platform team to architect and build IT platforms that exceed functional expectations consistent with thevalues of a premium global brand. Owns the ultimate responsibility for the technical functionality of IT systems and platforms including servers, client applications, tests, key performance indicators, IT platform operations and overall technical quality. Leads the operations of thecritical platforms, ensures monitoring and correct operation of the system. Leads the adequate execution of the processes Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management with regard to thesystem (including appropriate staffing of process roles). Steers service providers and the management of software providers and maintenance agreements. Delivers high-quality IT enterprise architectures, architectural systems and infrastructure designs of the BI Frontend Master Solution (PaaS for Tableau, MS Power BI, Qlikview) with an eye for building the designed systems to drive service delivery, optimize cost and support established business goals. Communicates and accurately documents all architectural decisions, plans, goals and functional requirements. Serves as the technical lead for service delivery of thescope of the built system by designing, reviewing and overseeing implementation of end-to-end integrated systems, enterprise data and metadata structures, as well as internal systems such as product deployment and licensing. Serves as the subject matter expert and operations coordinator for the BI Frontend tools: -Ensures responsibility and accountability for mutually agreed and defined system availability withrespect to the Business and Management. -Ensures monitoring and correct operation of the system. -Ensures changes to the system are made for ongoing run and support. -Ensures consolidation of emergency activities into regular maintenance. -Ensures that proper platform monitoring is in place to alert of any support issues. Utilizes standard Connect IT / CMDB monitoring tools; and where applicable recommend tools to cover any gaps in standard toolkit. -Monitors critical infrastructure components for issues. Utilizes standard Microsoft and Central IT tools to locate problems. -Manages and audits of all 3rd party software licenses. Ensures that all Central IT and local reporting is completed within specified timelines. -Assumes appropriate Problem, Incident and Change management roles. -Leverages standard KPI reporting mechanisms toensure incident and service requests are being resolved within the agreed SLA s. -Plan and procure required resources (licenses, hardware, maintenance agreements). -Controls license management (monitoring, procurement of licenses). -Performs escalation towards the vendor asnecessary. -Consults Developers / Architects regarding usage of BI Frontends (Tableau, MS Power BI, Qlikview). -Manages the Enterprise Technical Architecture regarding BI Frontends (Tableau, MS Power BI, Qlikview) Blueprint. -Authors BI Frontends (Tableau, MS Power BI, Qlikview) Best Practices and Developer Guidelines. -Monitors performance of activities and interactions with our internal and external customers through verbal or written communication and should reflect adherence to the BMW Group s Principles. Contributes to the definition of theproduct strategy by collaborating with other technical leads, projectmanagers, business relationship managers and business analysts on a project team and across the organization. Ensures high quality byestablishing a baseline and monitors technical metrics (i.e. code coverage, performance, scalability) that report the overall health of newly built IT systems. Manages Maintenance including Functional Enhancement requests, global Release Planning together with our sourcing provider, Invest Planning. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
