The Senior System Architect is responsible for design studies and analysis conducting all or some of the following activities for associated with LAN and WAN design:

  1. conduct site surveys;
  2. analyze and document customer requirements;
  3. conduct and document trade analysis,
  4. develop design documents; and
  5.  test and certify solutions and equipment.

Leads implementation and deployment conducting all or some of the following activities associated with implementation and deployment:

  1. develop implementation, test, and/or transition planning documents
  2. specify and procure equipment
  3. install and configure
  4. test and certify solutions and equipment.

Supports life cycle engineering conducting all or some of the following activities:

  1. develop logistics, maintenance, and/or management planning documents
  2. provide onsite change management and administration
  3. provide onsite operational and troubleshooting support
  4. provide upgrade plans and support

  • BS technical degree
  • 10+ years’ experience with networking and telecommunications including IP, Ethernet, MPLS, BGP, OSPF as well as legacy protocols, for networks with 20,000+ users. 3+ years direct experience with DoD DSEM methodologies (i.e. high-level design, detailed design, transition plans, test plans, test procedures etc.) and associated documentation and reporting.
  • Experience with the development of white papers providing analysis and options for the customer’s consideration.
  • Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to think strategically and function as part of a geographically diverse and multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated past performance in leading a team of engineers in consulting projects.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast paced environment.

Required Clearance: Secret

Desired: Masters or PhD in engineering or technical area. Experience with MPLS CsC. Experience with SDN and NFV.
