The responsibility of the Retail Systems Analyst II is to work closely with the Sprouts Farmers Markets business units and the Retail Systems Team with an emphasis on implementing system solutions that positively impact the customer and store team member in-store experience. The Systems Analyst will also be tasked with identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues as they relate to retail systems and processes.

 

The Retail Systems Analyst II is chartered with establishing priorities while balancing retail systems support and project deliverables. In addition, the Retail Systems Analyst II will be a “hands on” SME and will be thoroughly involved in the solution and project delivery, which includes adherence to plans, budgets, scope, and charters.

Essential Functions

  • Supports incidents, requests, and enhancements of applications related to Retail Systems
  • Assists with researching, reviewing, and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing retails systems processes
  • Participates in functional systems requirements gathering and definition for Projects; acts as an owner of requirements for support related work
  • Is a systems subject matter expert on all Retail Systems Applications to include
    • Point of Sale System (POS) to include Customer Self Service Pay Stations\Kiosks
    • Electronic Payments to include mobile payments
    • Customer Loyalty and Rewards
    • E-Commerce Solutions (Online Ordering/Click & Collect)
    • Store Ordering, Inventory, Receiving, and Shelf Price Audit
    • Order Management with a strong understanding of the EDI Transaction Process
    • Time & Attendance
  • Serves as a Tier 3 escalation point for IT Support Desk on retail systems and processes
  • Researches systems functionality options to provide solutions for business requests
  • Coordinates resolution of issues with Retail Systems Senior Leadership
  • Responsible for collecting and summarizing data that will assist the Retail Systems Team in strategic planning (long and short range) and the development\implementation of solutions  
  • Analyzes retail systems data to recommend system and operational procedure changes, enhancements, development of functional specifications or interface opportunities
  • Partners with IT Staff to assess and validate existing and resulting solutions to ensure quality of system and business needs are met
  • Communicates with 3rd party vendors to provide support and implementation of projects
  • Creates and maintains business process and support documentation as they relate to retail systems
  • Keeps Retail System Team and Senior IT Leadership updated with changes in the status of key systems

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Technology, Business Administration and/or equivalent work experience in retail systems management
  • A minimum of five years of retail systems related experience to include but not limited to:
    • Point of Sale System (POS) to include Customer Self Service Pay Stations\Kiosks
    • Electronic Payments to include mobile payments
    • Customer Loyalty and Rewards
    • E-Commerce Solutions (Online Ordering/Click & Collect)
    • Store Ordering, Inventory, Receiving, and Shelf Price Audit
    • Order Management with a strong understanding of the EDI Transaction Process
    • Time & Attendance
    • Scales
    • Mobile Device Management (Kiosks, Handheld Computers, Tablets)
    • Store HQ Retail Pricing and Merchandising Systems
  • Retail Store Operations experience a plus
  • Retail Systems support and incident response experience using a ticketing system
  • Skilled with gathering, analyzing, and communicating business technical requirements
  • Successfully assisted with the design, development, and implementation of retail applications and systems
  • Strong understanding of SQL; creating and modifying SQL scripts
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with a variety of people who have different skill levels of technical competence
  • Excellent organizational time management skills; able to drive tasks to completion and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Competent in business process mapping tools and processes
  • Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project
