The Opportunity

As the company continues to grow, we are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst within Rochester Site Operations finance team supporting three manufacturing plants (slide reagents, fluids assays, analyzer equipment).


• Support operational leadership with accurate forecasts, value-added reporting, key business metrics and benchmarks tailored to unique needs of disparate businesses
• Partner with senior management across various functional areas including plant management, supply chain, and procurement; work with business partners to derive root cause of variances vs. budget and forecasts
• Month-end close activities to ensure appropriate accounting under US GAAP (journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, corporate submissions, expense analysis and forecast support for cost centers)

The Responsibilities

  • Support operational leadership with accurate forecasts, value-added reporting, key business metrics and benchmarks tailored to unique needs of disparate businesses
  • Partner with senior management across various functional areas including plant management, supply chain, and procurement; work with business partners to derive root cause of variances vs. budget and forecasts
  • Financial ownership of $100M+ annual Labor & Overhead cost center spending
  • Month-end close activities to ensure appropriate accounting under US GAAP (journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, corporate submissions, expense analysis and forecast support for cost centers)
  • Assist in consolidation and preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting packages for Rochester Operations
  • Leadership role in annual standards setting process: ensure that product costs are accurate and properly accounted for and that bills of materials and standard costs accurately reflect production operations
  • Management of financial process improvements and tracking of strategic initiatives
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned.

The Individual

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably within the area of Accounting or Finance; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting, FP&A, and/or manufacturing financeexperience is required.
  • Candidate must possess intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (i.e. Pivot Tables, Formulas, VLOOKUP functions). Experience with SAP ERP and SAP BPC is preferred.
  • This role requires an understanding of US GAAP and cost accounting principles.
  • The candidate must possess the ability to partner with associates at all levels of the organization. 
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and influencing skills are required.
  • This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and leadership skills
