Reports to the Assistant Professor-PhD for the Life Support Education department. This position teaches Life Support Education courses as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations. Able to effectively communicate changes and instructions in a professional, effective and positive manner Able to keyboard 40 wpm. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Doctoral Degree (ie. MD, DDS, etc) required. Previous experience teaching life support education courses (ie. BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc) preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) certification required.
