About the Opportunity

Change, Configuration, Release, and Asset Management Lead to oversee configuration, change, release, and asset management for the Office of the CIO (OCIO) at the Defense Security Service (DSS). This is a full-time position.


Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, design, build, configure, and test all operational changes to create the release package for the delivery of, or changes to, the designated service.
  • Manage all aspects of the end to end release process. Oversee a team supporting each aspect of change and release management.
  • Ensure coordination of build and test environments teams and release teams (as applicable).
  • Ensure teams follow the organization’s established policies and procedures.
  • Provide configuration management planning.
  • Provide support to the configuration change control and approval process.
  • Support the quality assurance process audits. Lead asset management and inventory efforts.
  • Provide reports to management team on release progress.
  • Support service roll out planning including determining the method of deployment.
  • 7+ years experience in a configuration or change management role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • ITIL v3 certification is desired.
  • Experience managing an enterprise configuration, change, and release management program.
  • Experience using configuration, change, and release management tools to include Remedy.
  • Experience with configuration management in a DOD environment.
  • Experience with life cycle management of enterprise IT equipment, software, and hardware, and planning and procurement.
  • Experience implementing continuous process improvements within a configuration, change, release, or asset management program is preferred.
  • Experience developing CM plans and performing system audits.
  • Able to track change requests and provide regular status updates to all invested parties.
  • Must have solid communication skills and be capable of interacting with staff at all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to variable workload and job duties.
  • Must be a US citizen and hold an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.



Education and Years of Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 

Required Skills/Certifications:

  •  ITIL v3 certification is desired.
