  • General Responsibilities:  
    • Accountable for leading international cross-functional teams to specify, design, develop, industrialize, and commercialize new products using the company’s new product development processes from ideation to product launch.
    • Responsible for planning and execution of activities required to meet project goals within the project budget and schedule constraints, always focusing on value for customers and business goals.
      Job Responsibilities includes, but are not limited to:
    1. Ensure products being developed meet customer needs and achieve project financial goals (product cost, sales, profit margin and overall program ROI).
    2. Lead and coordinate international cross-functional teams to establish and execute project plans.
    3. Manage project scope, budget, schedule, product cost, risks, resources (competencies), quality and communication.
    4. Control and monitor the project performance to ensure the project is on track to achieve business goals.
    5. Manage arbitrations by providing project reviews and reports to project sponsor, steering committee and other stakeholders.
    6. Responsible for meeting the scope, schedule, resource and budget commitments reflected in the project management plan.
    7. Lead the project team in developing and managing the project management plan within the constraints established and approved by the project sponsor.
    8. Lead the decision making process at the project level and at the right time.
    9. Implement and enforce change control over project scope, schedule, resources and budget.
    10. Negotiate with functional managers and/or organizational management to obtain adequate resources with appropriate skills to staff the project team.
    11. Manage the timely resolution of issues, including the escalation of issues that are outside of the project team’s scope of responsibility.
    12. Continually identify and proactively manage project risks and issues, ensure execution of corrective action plans up to closure.
    13. Monitor the project and report the project status to the management on a regular basis.
    14. Manage medium to large complex projects, regional or global projects, high need for coordination.
    15. Communicate effectively and work closely with all levels of the organization.
    16. Ability to lead, facilitate or participate in weekly conference calls after normal US business hours (e.g., between 4pm – 7pm Pacific time).
    17. Ability to travel both domestic and internationally; international travel at least 4 times per year.




This job might be for you if:   Candidate Profile key skills and experience required:

  1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, IT or related engineering field. Higher education in Business, Marketing or Project Management is a plus.
  2. Minimum 5+ years of managing large new product development projects with successful track record. Experience in other functions in addition to project management is a plus. Multinational experience is a plus also. 
  3. Strong hardware and project management experience.
  4. Advanced understanding and demonstration of project management expmethodology and associated tools (project life-cycle, project start-ups, project planning, execution & tracking, etc.)
  5. Experience with OEM/ODM, strongly preferred.
  6. Ability (or experience) working in a global environment/ highly matrixed organization.
  7. Strong business acumen required.
  8. Excellent communication skills. Able to influence and persuade senior-level decision makers and perform executive presentation.
  9. Experience in the video security industry, cameras and accessories, a plus.
  10. Strong project management and leadership skills. Demonstratedexperience leading in matrix organization.
  11. Experience working in Agile environment, a plus.
  12. Certified Project Management Professional, preferred.
  13. Good understanding of electronic hardware and firmware development, systems and digital solutions.
  14. Experience working with Asian Suppliers/Taiwanese.
  15. Ability to speak Mandarin, nice to have.
