BS in mechanical or marine engineering with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in piping system design experience related to both Commercial and Naval ship systems design at concept through contract design.
Ship machinery system testing, operation, and detail design experience is a plus.
Knowledge of Regulatory Body Requirements is required.
AutoCad design capability is required.
Licensed Marine Engineer is a plus but not required.
Ability to attain a Security Clearance is required.

As a Senior Engineer in the Fluid Systems Section, responsibilities include design, development and analysis of fluid and firefighting system aboard combatant, auxiliary, and commercial ship types through all phases of ship design.
Responsibilities include marketing, task management and oversight, development of engineering trade-off studies and reports, machinery/equipment sizing and selection, piping system sizing and pressure drop analysis, life cycle cost analysis, and preparation of system arrangement drawings, pipe and component sizing, machinery equipment lists, diagrams, engineering calculations and system and equipment specifications.
